Why you should only book with one photographer.

Okay, well, maybe not forever, but my personal opinion is that once you book with a photographer, if you like your images you receive back... then book them for continuous sessions in the future. Now, I know that styles change and you may get curious if you like another editing style... but I bet you 9 times out of 10, your photographer may be willing to work with you if you are wanting to try out something new/unique with your photos/editing style. I'm also not saying it's illegal to bounce around and choose someone else for sessions based on their style, but when it comes to your annual professional family photos... STICK to one photographer!

As a professional photographer, I see all too many times families jumping around to different photographers for each holiday mini session, or even each year for their annual family photos. Typically, these families come running back to me because they say that they didn't receive the posing/prompts/quality of images/time/investment that they would if they were to have booked with me. To each their own, however my professional opinion is that when you let one photographer grow with you and your family and truly get to know your family, your photos are going to portray that. Us as photographers love when we get to see your family every season/year because we then get to know you and your kids. We are able to make a quicker connection with the entire family, leading to less awkwardness and more candid moments for us to capture of you!

Let your kids become familiar with me. Let me learn them and you learn me! There's nothing sweeter than seeing your kids who have grown up around me running to hug me when they show up to a session! When it comes to the treasured moments that you want to capture to hang in your home... whether it be engagement, pregnancy announcement, maternity, weddings, newborn, birth, fresh 48 sessions, first family photos, and anything along the sorts of importance -- please just spend the money and book the session with your photographer!

You will never be disappointed if you go with your gut and it also won't feel like a waste of time/money because you know you will be receiving the quality you appreciate.

Just keep this in mind when booking your next big session.

Sincerely,

Emily
